However, I realized that I needed to formalize my training to complete the missing pieces of the puzzle and add more tools to my toolbox. I wanted to give my patients the best chance to ensure rehabilitation and maintenance of oral health. Our dental assistants are a hardworking, compassionate and caring team. They're here to help your child have a positive and fun experience during any treatment they may need. A career in pediatric dentistry begins with core courses in high school and continues through college, dental school, and a residency program. If you want a satisfying career in health care and enjoy working with children, pediatric dentistry might be right for you.
